Well, it hasn’t been that long since the last post but then again the new month felt like a good excuse for a couple more tracks! So, here comes the first post of the month. I know, i know, it’s December but Eternal September’s cover on Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” was a great cover by itself and then along came IKKI with his great remix of the cover version and that is your first Metalectro post of the month. I suppose if you are reading this then you are already familiar with IKKI by now as this is the second track of his featured on the Metalectro blog. And very much like the first track, once again IKKI is going hard, heavy and loud on this one by keeping all those parts that made the original a great cover song, meaning the death metal-ish screaming vocals and the heavy guitar sound. Obviously though, you can’t have a good remix on any song just by keeping the good parts of the original. You have to find ways to emphasize and amplify those parts and that’s exactly what IKKI did once again with this track. Personally, i quite like IKKI’s minimal approach on this one as he mostly counted on the original’s melody and with some subtle additions he turned it into a dance track. And for those who thought you can’t have a groovy dance track with death metal sound and vocals here comes IKKI’s answer to all of you. Just dance!
